ERP for food and drink
Softilo Provisions
Accounts, stock, landed cost and food traceability.
Batches, use-by dates and allergens alongside the ledger: first-expiry-first-out picking, recall tracing, wholesale pricing and delivery routes, production runs, catch weight and alcohol duty.
For UK food and drink wholesalers, importers and small producers

The problem
Food businesses track batches, allergens and dates in one place and invoices in another, so a recall means an afternoon of cross-checking while the clock runs.

What it does
6 things Softilo Provisions does properly
Batches and use-by dates
Codes and dates captured on receipt, FEFO on invoices, and use-by as a hard block, with minimum remaining life per customer.
Recall trace
From a batch back to supplier and receipt, forward to every customer, and through production in both directions.
Allergens and specifications
Versioned specs with the 14 allergens, an allergen matrix and PPDS (Natasha’s Law) label data.
Orders, picks and routes
FEFO pick lists, price lists with quantity breaks, delivery routes on set days, back-orders and short-dated reductions.
Production and catch weight
Versioned recipes, production runs with actual batch costing, and products invoiced by actual weight.
Alcohol duty and packaging
Bonded warehouses and the monthly duty worksheet, Plastic Packaging Tax worksheets, pEPR data and deposit lines.
Quality bars
Rules it doesn’t break.
- The books always balance
- An unbalanced journal is refused by the database at commit, and money is never held as a floating-point number.
- History can’t be rewritten
- Journals and the audit log are append-only. A correction is a new entry.
- Each business sees only its own
- Postgres row-level security keeps companies apart, even if application code has a bug.
- Batches equal stock
- Integrity checks tie batches to stock and stock to the ledger.
